Elderly Meal Program

Monday, March 13: Split-pea soup, meat loaf with brown gravy, mashed potatoes, carrot pennies, seven-grain bread, chocolate-chip cookies.

Tuesday: Boneless pork roast with light gravy, whipped potatoes, Harvard beets, marble rye bread, apple pie. Sliced brisket substituted at Jewish Community Center nutrition site, 1410 N. Prospect Ave.

Wednesday: Chicken broccoli casserole with rice, green beans, tossed salad with French dressing, cranberry muffin, fresh orange.

Thursday: Irish beef stew with carrots, mushrooms and onions, O'Brien parsleyed potatoes, lime-gelatin salad with shredded vegetables, baking- powder biscuit, shamrock cup cakes. Assorted hamantaschen at JCC.

Friday: Baked fish with lobster sauce, baked potato with margarine, mixed garden vegetables, onion rye bread, banana. Challah at JCC.

These meals are served at 30 sites in the Milwaukee County Elderly Nutrition Program. Menus are subject to change without notice. Home-delivered meals may vary slightly. For a list of sites, call the county's Department on Aging at 289-6995.
