Rabbi to talk on Jewish values

"Jewish Values: Their Application and Adaptation" will be the theme of a series of Wednesday workshops by Rabbi Barry Silberg at Congregation Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun, 2419 E. Kenwood Blvd.

Printed materials and light refreshments will be provided at the workshops, which will be held from noon to 1:15 p.m. April 12 and 26, May 10 and 24, and June 7.

Silberg suggests that the conversations will be of special interest to the parents and grandparents of young children. Each session will include practical advice on how to teach and encourage such values as civility, respect for parents and teachers, trustworthiness, self-control, humility, modesty and chastity, courtesy, learning and discipline.

To register, call 964-4100.

The small mission congregation of the Evangelical Free Church meets in the gymnasium of Southwood Glen Elementary School, 9090 S. 35th St.

"Why Is Easter So Important?" will be the subject not only for Pastor Tom Murel's brief message, but also for two short dramas, a rock musical with full band, and a specially prepared video.
