Louisiana collects $41.5M in royalty payments from federal Minerals

Louisiana collected $41.5 million in royalty payments from the U. S. Department of the Interior's Minerals Management Service, a 31.3 percent increase from last years payment of $31.6 million. Overall, 36 states received $1.3 billion in MMS royalties, an 18.2 percent increase over last year's distribution of $1.1 billion.
