New Orleans-based Isis Films will shoot 3 movies on North Shore

New Orleans CityBusiness,  Feb 7, 2005  by Staff

New Orleans-based film company Isis Films is searching for extras for the company's first film, which begins shooting on the North Shore next week.

Work on It's About Love, written and directed by Joe Wehinger, will begin Feb. 14 in Mandeville. The film, which stars Beau Bridges, his son Jordan Bridges and Carrie Fisher, is about a woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease and how her husband copes with her deteriorating condition.

Milena Rimasa-Merrill, Isis Films president, raised about $900,000 for the $3 million project and hopes to secure investors and product- placement endorsements to complete the film. Rimasa-Merrill hopes to complete the project in time to show the film at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Rimasa-Merrill plans to shoot two other films on the North Shore this summer. She is scouting locations in Folsom for Black's Gaslight Village and in Mandeville for The Midnight Hour.
