Forbes lists Altiris as one of fast-growing tech firms

Deseret News (Salt Lake City),  Feb 16, 2005

Lindon-based Altiris Inc. has been named to Forbes' list of the 25 fastest-growing technology companies.

The information technologies lifecycle management software company also made the list last year. Only 14 companies were able to repeat from a year ago.

Altiris is the fifth-fastest-growing company on the list in terms of five-year sales growth. For 2004, the company reported revenue of $166.6 million, up 68 percent from $99.3 million in revenue reported in 2003.

To make the list, companies must have had at least a 10 percent sales gain in each of the past five years, $25 million in sales and a positive net income over the past 12 months, as well as no large legal problems or other open-ended liabilities.

Topping the list was @Road, of Fremont, Calif., which provides services and gear that help off-site workers keep in touch with the office.
