MO-based Walpert Properties adds commercial real estate broker to

Michael C. Erkmann has joined Walpert Properties as a commercial real estate broker. He will be specializing in leasing, tenant representation and brokerage of retail property.

Erkmann began his sales career in the insurance and investment arena working for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in San Diego. He specialized in retirement planning, business planning and executive benefits. Most recently, Erkmann was the operations manager for Jomar Investments, a Denny's Restaurant franchisee with multiple locations in the St. Louis area.

He holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., where he was active on the university soccer team and held multiple leadership positions on the student counsel. He is licensed by the SEC and NASD to perform Series 6 and 63 transactions and is currently working on his CCIM designation.

Erkmann is interested in outdoor activities, including snowboarding, mountain biking and white water kayaking. He was recently married to Rachel Ritter of Memphis, Tenn., and is now residing in O'Fallon, Mo.
