Bruce Goff Chair of Creative Architecture Lecture Series planned
Journal Record staffStephen Kieran, architect, designer and co-founder of KieranTimberlake Associates, will be the featured speaker in the October segment of the Bruce Goff Chair of Creative Architecture Lecture Series sponsored by the University of Oklahoma College of Architecture.
The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Meacham Auditorium of Oklahoma Memorial Union in Norman.
KieranTimberlake Associates is involved in materials research that has led to the creation of Smartwrap, a flexible new building product that incorporates shelter, climate control, lighting, information and power in a single film that can be computer customized for each building project.
Kieran is a faculty member at Pennsylvania's School of Design and a visiting professor at the University of Michigan.
Established in 1989 and endowed in 1998, the Bruce Goff Chair of Creative Architecture is named for architect Bruce Goff, who served as chairman of the OU School of Architecture from 1947 to 1955.
