Oakland Tribune,  Mar 17, 2008  by Ben Aguirre Jr -

FREMONT - Authorities are investigating a robbery this morning in which a man used a note to take money from a local bank.

Fremont police are at Bank of the West, on Farwell Drive and Blacow Road, where a man walked in about 10 a.m. and used a note to demand cash from a teller, Sgt. Chris Mazzone said.

The man then took the undisclosed about of money and fled through the parking lot, possibly to a black or gray color vehicle parked nearby, he said.

The robber was described as a black man about 30 years old who wore a black baseball cap and a black jacket.
