JOHN B. GOODWIN

Resident of Pleasanton passed on February 29, 2008 in Walnut Creek, CA with his family at his side.

He was born on May 29, 1923 in Victoria, British Columbia. John is survived by his wife Betty of 55 years, son Russ Goodwin of Livermore, daughter Christine Hopkins of Concord and 4 grand sons. He is also survived by two sisters Miriam Ness of Turlock and Ruth Scott of Victoria, B.C.

John served overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. He and Betty came to the United States in 1952. John retired from the Trucking Industry in 1994.

A celebration of John's life will be held on March 20, 2008, at 1:00 pm at the Neighborhood Church, 20600 John Dr., Castro Valley, CA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Salvation Army or the Neighborhood Church.
