Man robs Pleasanton store at gunpoint

PLEASANTON -- A mailing and shipping store was robbed Monday morning by a man who asked to use the restroom and then pulled a gun and demanded money.
The robbery occurred at
8:52 a.m. at Pak Mail, 5524 Springdale Ave., according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
An employee was working behind the store when a man in his 20s drove up in a Lexus sport utility vehicle and asked to use the store's restroom. After walking out of the restroom, the suspect pulled a small black handgun from his pants and demanded money from the cash register.
The robber had the employee place money into a small plastic bag and then ran out the back door, police said.
The employee was not hurt.
The robber was described as an Asian man with a thin mustache and acne scars across his face. He was about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed about 130 pounds. The robber wore a black knit beanie cap with a bill, red shirt, sweat pants and black tennis shoes. The car he was driving was a newer silver Lexus RX SUV with silver tail lights.
