Oakland Tribune, Mar 5, 2008 by Bay City News Service
RICHMOND - A 20-year-old woman who suffered a gunshot wound to her chest early this morning in Richmond was expected to survive her injuries, Richmond police Lt. Mike Gormley said.
A security guard at Kaiser Richmond Medical Center found the woman sitting on a curb in front of the hospital and rendered aid, according to Gormley.
The woman was conscious and told officials she had been shot in the 700 block of Carlson Boulevard at about 12:45 a.m., Gormley said.
The woman was listed in serious but stable condition at the hospital this morning, according to Gormley.
No suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting, Gormley said.
