Furry Friends Rescue hosts four-legged fun

FREMONT -- Furry Friends Rescue is holding its third annual Tail Waggin' Walk and Dog Costume Contest on Saturday.
The event will be held in Area A at Lake Elizabeth in Central Park, Paseo Padre Parkway and Baylis Street, Fremont.
Registration for the walk-a-thon begins at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m. The registration fee of $35 will be waived if pledges total $125 or more.
Other friendly competitions scheduled are the Pumpkin Carving and Dog-Trick-for-Treat contests. Raffles and snacks also will be offered.
Furry Friends Rescue is an all-volunteer nonprofit companion animal rescue organization. Money raised from this event will directly support the cost of caring for rescued dogs and cats.
