The celestial powers that appear to be working overtime to send us messages. In recent months, likenesses of various divinities have appeared on biscuits, slices of toast, popadoms, a cheese sandwich, trees, office windows, and King Edward's potatoes. Now an image of the Virgin Mary has popped up on the stomach of a pet turtle in Chicago.
The mother of the turtle's owner, one Doly Fordyce, has hailed this vision as a Sign from Above. Her neighbours are braced for the arrival of the inevitable pilgrims.
