Walt Disney had a retired superhero to thank for a surge in profits last week. Strong DVD sales of the 'The Incredibles', about a family of superheroes forced out of retirement, pushed Disney's second-quarter earnings up 30 per cent. It was in stark contrast to 'Shrek 2', where lower than expected DVD sales sent shares in the company behind it, DreamWorks Animation, tumbling.
