It's not a new phenomenon. Look at Shakespeare: 'Romeo and Juliet' was basically a love story set amongst gang violence. Less hysteria from the media and politicians is needed.

Now it is time for the community to fight back, but in a constructive and peaceful way. It is for mothers to get out there and say no to guns, violence and gangs.
