Bruce to star in recycling float?

Independent on Sunday, The,  Aug 12, 2007

By AndrewMurray-Watson

We are more accustomed to seeing them on the big screen blowing things up, but Mel Gibson and Bruce Willis, two of Hollywood's biggest action heroes, could be about to appear on the shareholder list of a company that is mulling a flotation in London.

Green Rubber, part of the Malaysian-based Petra Group, has developed technology that can recycle the vulcanised rubber in old tyres into a form of the natural material with many applications.

It is looking at a listing to fuel its international growth. Both Willis and Gibson are friends of the founder of Petra Group, Vinod Sekhar. He told The Independent on Sunday: "We are seriously looking at an IPO exercise for Green Rubber. We are looking at options, one of which is London, and we hope to make a decision very soon."

Green Rubber is expected to carry a valuation of about [pound]200m if it lists.
