Canterbury tale is the real community spirit
Independent on Sunday, The, Aug 5, 2007 by Alan Hubbard SPORTS DIARIST
They're playing the Community Shield at Wembley today but the real community spirit in football will be more in evidence when the born-again Canterbury City FC begin their Kent League season on a village recreation ground that currently has more weeds than grass. Remarkably they now field eight teams and have a substantial sponsorship deal with P&O.
