Blades of Glory

Independent on Sunday, The,  Aug 5, 2007  by Nicholas Barber

After the disappointment of 'Talladega Nights', Will Ferrell gets back on form in 'Blades Of Glory', teaming up with Jon Heder to form the first male-male ice-dancing duo in Olympic history. Some of the costumes are only a few peacock feathers away from what Torvill and Dean used to wear, but the film doesn't smirk too much at figure- skating.

Instead of aiming all of its gags at one extremely soft target, the film goes for the all-round, non-stop, big-hearted hilarity of 'The Simpsons' and 'Dodgeball' - and it deserves 5.9s and 6.0s all the way.
