RUFUS BURDETT refused to apologise for pinching the bottom of TV reporter Sue Turton live on air, but admitted that his mum had given him a telling off.
"I don't go around pinching girls' bums all the time, but I thought it was a way of throwing a spanner in the works. I'd been in the pub with friends and had a few drinks. I walked round the block and saw the interview taking place and before I knew it, I had pinched her bum. I did not know it was live and did not plan to do it at all. It is out of character." Mr Burdett claimed the pinch was in protest at all the media interest in the Oxfordshire floods. "We were going to go under water and were surrounded by hundreds of cameras watching us go under. "
