Company running Games in row over consultants

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), the public company responsible for buying the land and building the venues for the 2012 Olympics, employed an outside consultancy firm once a week on average during its first year in existence in 2006. Tessa Jowell, the minister for the Olympics, said last week that the ODA had employed 53 outside firms in 2006-07.
The Conservative Olympic spokesman, Hugh Robertson, said: "Fifty-three is an awful lot. The next thing to do is find out how much they were paid." AJ
