Fancy a smoochy dance? Just reach out and touch

Independent on Sunday, The,  Jun 3, 2007

A light touch on the arm can do wonders for your social life, it is reported on the British Psychological Society's website. Nicolas Gueguen sent out a good-looking man to approach 120 women in night clubs over three weeks and ask them for a slow dance. Half he touched lightly on the arm, half he did not. Only 43 per cent of the untouched agreed to dance, compared with 65 per cent of the touched.
