Suspected chest infection puts Prescott in hospital

> John Prescott was admitted to hospital with a suspected chest infection, his office confirmed yesterday. The Deputy Prime Minister, who was 69 last week, will stay in overnight, but the office said his condition was not thought to be serious. A spokesman said: "He is undergoing tests." Mr Prescott, who leaves office at the same time as Tony Blair, the Prime Minister, on 27 June, returned from a tour of the US and the Caribbean last week.
