Airlines combine on climate change but easyJet steals a march
Independent on Sunday, The, Jun 3, 2007
THE AVIATION industry has never been known for its great chumminess. Which is why it was surprising that some of the UK's biggest airlines - BA, Virgin Atlantic and easyJet among them - have managed to put aside their differences to launch the " Flying Matters" coalition to lobby over climate change.
The only trouble is that readers who go to www.flyingmatters.co.uk are directed to the easyJet official website, earning the budget airline some free publicity thanks to the efforts of its rivals. A member of easyJet's publicity ground crew says the matter was an "administrative oversight". I think they use the same excuse when baggage goes missing.
