Philipp Kohlschreiber reached his first final in the BMW Open on home soil in Munich. The 23-year-old coasted past Marcos Baghdatis 6- 2 6-3, the Cypriot having been battling an ankle injury recently. In the other semi-final, Mikhail Youzhny of Russia beat the Czech Tomas Berdych 6-4 6-3.
