A diary item (4 February) made allegations against the Foreign Press Association which the FPA tells us, and we now accept, are incorrect. In particular, we acknowledge that the FPA's membership has been stable for the last few years and we understand from the FPA that it is now more active than ever in supporting foreign correspondents in London. The FPA also points out that the funding it receives from the FCO is almost one third less than the amount we stated, and that it agreed to settle the legal proceedings brought by Mr Ben-Madani in order to further the interests of its members. We apologise to the FPA and its committee for these errors.
In our review of The Claude Glass by Tom Bullough, (ABC, 29 April) we pictured the wrong book cover. We are sorry for the error.
