Oil slick threat to luxury beaches

Independent on Sunday, The,  May 6, 2007  

An oil slick forced authorities to close beaches along a stretch of Dubai's Gulf coast lined with luxury hotels yesterday. The origin of the slick was not clear but environmentalists say most oil pollution on the beaches is due to spillage from oil tankers in the Gulf.
