Mmm ... roast suckling pig, with papaya, oranges and apples. This splendid picnic was recently left at the summit of Mt Kilauea, an active volcano in Hawaii, as a gift for the gods, who locals believe live inside it. The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Service has launched a campaign to stop people leaving such offerings because "the accumulation of rotting food attracts rats and cockroaches".
