Independent on Sunday, The,  Apr 15, 2007  by Katy Guest

The 43 year-old owner of The Accident Group died in a car crash in Marbella on Monday night In 2002 he was the toast of society, praised by Prince Andrew after he pledged [pound]6m to the NSPCC. By the time of his death, near his Marbella home, he was hated: he had sacked 2,500 staff by text in 2003 on the collapse of the company he set up in 1992 to pursue small compensation claims.

He died in debt, depressed, and in the middle of a divorce.
