LEAGUE ONE

Independent, The (London),  Nov 10, 2006

SCUNTHORPE UNITED The caretaker manager Nigel Adkins believes he is the man to continue the job on a permanent basis. The United physio has taken over first team affairs until a replacement is found for Brian Laws, who left to join Sheffield Wednesday earlier this week. "I am enjoying looking after the team and I have the qualities to run this club," he said.

LEYTON ORIENT The club have emerged as candidates to move into the Olympic Stadium after the Games finish in 2012. The capacity of east London stadium has been downsized from 80,000 to 25,000, ruling out West Ham United but opening the door for the Orient.

CHELTENHAM TOWN The captain John Finnigan is still not ready for a return after an ultrasound treatment on his heel and will remain out for another few weeks.
