Hennessey joins rivals

Independent, The (London),  Jul 14, 1998

Moseley's playing director Jon White has further strengthened his squad with a signing of tighthead prop Peter Hennessey from their Allied Dunbar Premiership Two rivals Rotherham.

Hennessey, a 19-year-old who tips the scales at more than 20 stone, played a handful of first team games for the South Yorkshire club last season and White is impressed by his physical stature.

"He is a very strong boy and his weight frightening" said Moseley's new playing supremo.

From having registered prop forwards a fortnight ago White now has four following the decision of Lee Fortey and Matt Long to accept new part-time contracts and the return of England A international Nathan Webber.
