Racing: Andreyev abroad

Independent, The (London),  Jul 14, 1998

Richard Hannon's Andreyev fared best of the two British raiders when finishing third to Keos in the Group Three Prix de Ris-Orangis over six furlongs at Deauville yesterday. The Brian Meehan-trained Cathedral fared less well by weakening into seventh after showing good early pace. Dyhim Diamond, the Cork And Orrey Stakes runner-up, once more attempted to make all as he had at Royal Ascot, only to find one too good again.

Keos, well ridden by Cash Asmussen, cut Dyhim Diamond down to size as he ran on well to score by a length and a half. Andreyev, having been held up towards the rear, produced his best work at the finish as he ran on to finish a three lengths third.
