David Rose works in the Innovation Center, a "do tank" for digital business consulting firm Viant Corporation. The Innovation Center team prototypes how technology will affect the way people live and work in the future. Rose also teaches a popular course on information visualization at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. He has been featured as a speaker at industry conferences such as Living Surfaces (hosted by the American Center for Design), TED, SIGCHI, and Internet World. Before joining Viant, he founded Interactive Factory, a newmedia design firm. Interactive Factory specializes in broadband applications and smart toys, including the award-winning Lego Mindstorms Robotic Invention System. Rose holds a master's degree in psychology from Harvard University and has studied interactive cinema at MIT's Media Lab.
