Charity launches NI television ad campaign

Mental health charity Rethink has launched its first TV advertising campaign in Northern Ireland. As well as television, the campaign also encompasses outdoor and bus advertising, and the involvement of people who use mental health services and carers who are willing to share their experiences in the media.

Rethink's head of marketing and communications Nikki Mugford said: 'In 30 seconds the ad subtly communicates the existence of stigma around schizophrenia and encourages us to make it a subject that we should all feel at ease to discuss. We hope this will challenge people's perceptions; it's time to "rethink" mental illness.'
