Sainsburv Centre

The Sainsbury Centre has recently relaunched its website. The new site includes more information on their new themes of work, more links to key documents and more about policy developments. It also has a new design, clearer layout, an improved search facility and better page printing. The site has improved accessibility and includes sections on criminal justice, social inclusion and policy watch. Mental Health Foundation

The Mental Health Foundation and the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities have launched a new report, Feeding Minds - the impact of food on mental health. The report lays out the evidence linking trends in food consumption with mental ill-health, and supports the case for an integrated approach to the treatment of mental health problems, identifying nutrition as a key component. Scottish Association for Mental Health

To help with the difficulties people face with the benefits system, SAMH has published a series of five self-help guides to claiming benefits. The titles are: Unable to work due to illness or disability?; Community Care Grants from the Social Fund; Incapable of Work? The personal capability assessment; Crisis Loans from the Social Fund; and Claiming Disability Living Allowance. The easy to use guides are available free of charge to service users.
