CPNA submits evidence for pay review body 2000

Mental Health Nursing,  Sep 1999

The CPNA has submitted its evidence to the pay review body for the pay around for the year 2000- 2001.

It has been particularly keen to stress the essential nature of mental health nursing to the entire raft of government policy and strategy for the future of mental health services, and has stressed the very real need for an increase in the psychiatric lead allowance. The Association was pleased to note that this year's pay award made specific mention of the allowance and the submission highlights the issues again this year.

Whilst the CPNA itself does not hold a seat on the negotiating council, its sister section, CPHVA, does and this is through this channel that the association makes its views known.
