SUMMARY: In The Powerpuff Girls Movie, moviegoers learn that the three little girls (Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup) are the resuit of a scientific experiment going wrong. Professor Utonium, a single man, bred of the lawlessness of evildoers and the lack of interest from the law enforcement community, decides to make the perfect little girl.

Humorously, he mixes sugar, spice, and everything nice. Regrettably, his lab chimp, Jojo, sensing something is very wrong, begins wrecking the laboratory, shoving the professor into a container of Secret Ingredient X that breaks and spills into the mix. An explosion occurs, hurling the scientist to the wall, rendering him unconscious. When he awakens there are three little bug-eyed girls with extraordinary powers! What he does not know is that Jojo has been splashed bythe concoction and has mutated and escaped!

This is the first thirty seconds of every PowerpuffGirls TV program stretched out into 15 minutes for the theatre audience. What remains is basically one 10-minute cartoon stretched and filled and fluffed to make 80 plus minutes. With humanistic and evolutionary tones, as well as frenetic cartoon violence, this boring moving gets a cautionary rating from MOVIEGUIDES.

CONTENT Humanist worldview with the ingenuity of man and momentary decisions ruling with a secondary evolutionary worldview; mild but steady foul language (on the order of "butt") and plenty of base body humor, including an ape that shoots bombs from its rear-end; graphic violence with people and creatures being pulled and beaten in every possible way; and, lying by evil The and disrespect to authority.
