BP awarded Emerson Process Management a $9 million contract to automate the floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel that will develop the Greater Plutonio Deepwater offshore oil fields of Angola. Emerson will provide engineering, design, commissioning, and long-term support for integrated control systems on BP's Greater Plutonio FPSO vessel.

Northwest Analytical, Inc., a statistical process control (SPC) software company, has partnered with CA-China Soft Software Technology Co., Ltd. to provide SPC software in the People's Republic of China.

Frederick, Col.-based Mesa Networks, a wireless Internet service provider, and AirWave Access, a wireless broadband service provider out of Parker, CoL, purchased plug-and-play bandwidth shaping products supplier APconnections' NetEqualizer Data Shaper appliances to deploy throughout their wireless footprint.

Invensys Process Systems will implement a Foxboro-brand I/A Series automation system for Public Service of New Mexico plus advanced SimSci-Esscor operator training simulators in multiple units throughout its San Juan generating station.
