Wavetronk LLC, of Provo, UT, USA, has been granted a patent for the SmartSensor(TM) vehicle detection device and its advanced radar technology. SmartSensor uses Digital Wave Radar to detect vehicle volume, occupancy and speed in up to eight lanes of traffic simultaneously. ESRI, of Redlands, CA, USA, has announced that ArcWeb for Developers now includes Geographic Data Technology (GDT) North American street data. With the inclusion of this data source in the ArcWeb for Developers suite of ArcWeb services, users easily can find routes not only within the United States and Canada but also between the two countries. The new street data come from Dynamap/Canada and Dynamap/2000, GDT's premier street network databases for Canada and the United States, optimized for routing.
