Six columns grace the front porch of this house, which exudes Southern hospitality and warmth. A Courtyard Home is named for the way it envelops the backyard with two wings, creating privacy. A two-car garage, connected to the home by a light-filled gallery, can easily be modified for either a rear or side entry. The optional bonus building could be a third garage bay, guesthouse, or a detached office.

Beyond the front door, columns continue to separate the foyer from the dining room on one side. On the opposite side, the living room can double as a guestroom with its attached full bath. Like the dining room, this space also has a fireplace, and it features a wet bar for entertaining as well.

At the back of the house, the family room and kitchen area function as one large space, divided by open cabinets. The kitchen boasts a pantry and ample counterspace with a light-filled breakfast room at one end. The family room brings the outside indoors with generous windows and French doors along one wall that access the back porch.

The master bedroom is tucked away in a wing of its own and, in addition to a huge closet, has a private bath with spectacular views of the rear courtyard. The other wing of the house contains two more bedrooms that share a bath, which features double vanities for convenience. The back stairs take you up to bonus space or more storage on an optional second floor that is tucked under the roofline.
