Serve a new pasta tonight

These entrees are easy, delicious, and, best of all, different.

Looking for something to shake up your supper lineup? Here are some dishes with unique seasonings.

SHANNON SLITER SATTERWHITE

HOT RED CURRY SHRIMP

The unusual ingredients in this dish offer a refreshing change of pace. You can also substitute chicken.

MAKES 4 SERVINGS

PLACE chile pepper in cup boiling water; let stand 30 minutes. Drain, cool, and chop.

PEEL shrimp, and devein, if desired.

COOK chile pepper, broth, and next 3 ingredients in a saucepan over low heat, stirring often, 8 minutes. Add shrimp, and cook, stirring often, 2 to 3 minutes or until shrimp turn pink.

REMOVE seasoning packets from couscous, and reserve for another use. Stir couscous into broth mixture; remove from heat, cover, and let stand 15 minutes. Stir in juice; sprinkle with cilantro. Prep: 10 min., Cook: 11 min., Stand: 45 min. FRAN POINTER KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI

NOODLES WITH SPRING VEGETABLES

MAKES 4 SERVINGS

COOK noodles in boiling salted water 6 to 8 minutes; remove noodles with a slotted spoon, reserving boiling water. Rinse noodles; drain and set aside.

SNAP off tough ends of asparagus; cut asparagus into /2-inch pieces. Add asparagus to boiling water, and cook 3 minutes; drain. Plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process; drain and set aside.

WHISK together vinegar and oils. Pour over noodles, and toss.

CUT cucumber in half lengthwise; remove seeds, and cut cucumber into thin slices. Add cucumber, asparagus, broccoli, and remaining ingredients to noodle mixture, tossing well. Prep: 25 min., Cook: 11 min. JACKIE OGLESBY FORT WORTH, TEXAS

SPICY CHICKEN PASTA

MAKES 4 SERVINGS

SAUTE first 5 ingredients in hot oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes or until crisp-tender. Add chicken, and cook, stirring often, 3 to 4 minutes or until done. Stir in salsa; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring often, 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in parsley, salt, and hot sauce. Serve over pasta. Prep: 10 min., Cook: 10 min.
