Redstone Communications Partners With GRIC to Offer Customers Global Internet Access

Market Wire,  May, 2003

GRIC Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: GRIC), a leading provider of Internet-based mobile office communications solutions, today announced a strategic agreement with U.K.-based Redstone Communications Limited, which will integrate GRIC's services with its own business service solutions for enterprise customers.

GRIC's remote access Internet service will be marketed by Redstone as Global Data Access, part of Redstone's 'Away From Office' portfolio of services for remote workers.

Redstone's partnership with GRIC will provide enterprise customers with the ability to connect to the Internet via the GRIC TierOne Network -- which boasts high-speed and high-quality access points in 150 countries, and nearly 1,500 broadband wireless hotspot locations in 14 countries worldwide -- providing Redstone's European customers with significant connectivity around the world.

"GRIC is a natural partner for Redstone. GRIC's worldwide network will provide users with the ability to connect to the Internet at more locations than ever before. With the world's largest network of over 30,000 fixed Internet access points and nearly 1,500 broadband wireless hotspots, GRIC provides unsurpassed availability for users," said Robin Singh, General Manager EMEA, GRIC Communications.

"Redstone selected GRIC as a key strategic partner as they offer the best solution for our customers, who require high-performance, low-cost Internet access when travelling abroad. The GRIC service complements the range of other communication solutions already offered by the Redstone Account card," said Simon Littlejohn, Product Marketing Manager for Redstone. "Combined with our strengths in deploying IP VPN and other secure access solutions, Redstone can now provide a complete 'Away From Office' solution. Redstone customers have expressed a great deal of interest in this unique combination of remote worker voice and data services."
