Market Wire, November, 2002
Menlo Worldwide, one of the world's largest supply chain management companies, announced today that Arturo Cazares has joined the company as senior vice president of sales and marketing. President and Chief Executive Officer John H. Williford made the announcement.
Cazares, 40, most recently served as vice president of sales, service, and marketing for 3Com BCC (Business Connectivity Company). As one of that company's founding members, Cazares was responsible for identifying the fundamental market developments driving the company, and creating and maintaining a new sales organization to consistently achieve designated margin and revenue targets. Before starting the new venture, Cazares served in a variety of international executive sales and marketing positions with BCC's parent company, 3Com, which he joined in 1992.
In his new position, Cazares is responsible for leveraging the sales and marketing opportunities of the Menlo Worldwide(SM) brand of supply chain services as provided by Emery Forwarding, Menlo Worldwide Logistics, Menlo Worldwide Technologies and Vector SCM, to meet the growth and revenue goals of the entire Menlo Worldwide organization.
"Arturo has a proven track record of international sales and marketing success along with ideal experience in forming and managing new sales organizations within existing entities," said Williford. "We are very pleased to have him on our Menlo Worldwide team."
Prior to joining 3Com, Cazares spent three years (1989-1992) with Sun Microsystems as a business consultant, and two years (1985-1987) in engineering with Fujitsu Limited. He holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and an MBA, both from Stanford University.
Menlo Worldwide is a subsidiary of CNF Inc. (NYSE:CNF), a $4.9 billion management company of global supply chain services with businesses in regional trucking, air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, global logistics management and trailer manufacturing.
