Terrorist kit anyone?
Los Angeles Business Journal, March 31, 2003 by Kate Berry
War fears are fanning rumors that companies in Los Angeles could be the targets of terrorist attacks, and talk is rife that one local investment banking office has plans to do something about it.
Lehman Brothers, the rumor goes, plans to issue gas masks and whistles to employees at its offices on Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood.
Monica Randazzo, Lehman's chief administrative officer, says she's heard the rumor but can't confirm or deny it.
"I can say I haven't gotten an official memo about it," Randazzo said. "So I can't tell you that it's actually happening or not. I think someone is spreading a rumor."
