Rising stars in New York City's real estate industry

Amy Applebaum is currently a Vice President at JPMorgan Chase in the Community Development Group where she is responsible for underwriting real estate transactions in low and middle-income neighborhoods.

Prior to Joining JPMorgan Chase in 2004, Ms. Applebaum spent 5 years in the Real Estate Development Group at the New York City Economic Development Corp.

At NYCEDC, Ms. Applebaum was involved in redevelopment projects throughout the 5 boroughs including the redevelopment of Times Square/42nd Street. Her past experience also includes 9 years of commercial real estate lending for international banks.

Ms. Applebaum has been a member of AREW since 1997 and will serve as President for 2005-2006.

She has taught continuing education courses in Real Estate at the Real Estate Board of New York and is also active in alumni work with both Cornell University and Horace Mann School.

Ms. Applebaum graduated from Cornell University and received a MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.

Marie-Claire Cunningham is a senior professional within the Corporate Solutions Group of Jones Lang Lasalle's New York office.

In this capacity, she utilizes her corporate real estate and corporate solutions experience to leverage the company's tenant representation, acquisitions, dispositions, project and development management services, facilities management and consulting practice on behalf of corporate occupiers and will be the client relationship manager for key corporate accounts.

Prior to joining Jones Lang Lasalle in 2005, Ms. Cunningham was a managing director at GVA Williams in the Corporate Services Practice Group where she transacted more than two million square feet of acquisitions and dispositions in multiple markets on behalf of The Thomson Corporation, Wolters Kluwer and Prudential Financial.

Ms. Cunningham also developed strategies for several leading clients and developed and implemented a global strategic plan for a corporate occupier's six million square foot portfolio.

Prior to joining GVA Williams, Ms. Cunningham was Real Estate Manager at Colgate-Palmolive Company where her responsibilities included disposing of surplus assets.

Ms. Cunningham began her real estate career at Corporate Property Investors ("CPI"), now Simon Property Group, in the asset management group where she was an assistant vice president.

Ms. Cunningham was the 2003-2004 president of the Association of Real Estate Women ("AREW"). She was named one of the top 50 women in real estate in June 2004 by AREW.

Ms. Cunningham earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and International Business from New York University.
