Architects award scholarship

Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers, Inc. has announced that LoriAnne M. Jones of Edison, New Jersey is the recipient of Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers Scholarship at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).

"She is a deserving student who has displayed unparalleled energy, enthusiasm and professionalism in pursuance of her architecture degree. She has not only excelled academically, but is a leader in her class."
LoriAnne Jones is entering her junior year at NJIT and is pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree. She is a fixture on the school's Deans List and has also previously won the C. Monses Award for Leadership & Design Excellence in Architecture, and was an architecture representative for Albert Dorman Honors College Council.
Aside from her class schedule at the NJIT, Ms. Jones is a student manager at NJSOA Printroom & Small Supply Shop in Newark, where she manages a staff of 30 students and oversees the printing services for in excess of 700 students. She lives in Edison, New Jersey and enjoys photography, model making and computer gaming.
Jarmel Kizel established a $25,000 endowed scholarship fund in 2001 to award $2,500 a year to a third or fourth year student of the New Jersey School of Architecture. The award is based on academic excellence, community involvement, student leadership and design innovation.
