Banking firm commits to 53,000 s/f office space
Misys International Banking Systems (Misys-IBS), a leading supplier of IT solutions for the banking industry, has committed to a total of 53,000 square feet of office space in Manhattan and Rockland County, NY.
The worldwide company leased 34,000s/f of space at 1180 Avenue of Americas and an additional 19,000 square feet at Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River, NY.
The CB Richard Ellis team of Adam Foster and Brad Gerla arranged the multi-market transactions for Misys-IBS. Jones Lang LaSalle acted on behalf of New York Life, the ownership of 1180 Avenue of the Americas, while Mack Cali, the landlord of Blue Hill Plaza was represented in-house.
In New York City, Misys-IBS consolidated its operations from 45 Broadway and 28 West 23rd Street to the new space at 1180 Avenue of Americas.
The firm required top-tier space situated closer to its customer base in order to house its growing US operations.
The 19,000 s/f lease at Blue Hill Plaza was necessitated by Misys International's recent business line acquisition from Citigroup. The company, which was located in Englewood Cliffs New Jersey, will relocate its entire operations and personnel to the new space in Rockland County.
