The Italian Enology and Bottling Equipment Industry

Italy is among the largest wine producers in the world with an annual output of 55 million hectoliters in a wide range of high quality products.

The Italian wine industry has been able to reach the current high quality and quantity levels due to the very sophisticated technology provided by the Italian manufacturers of machinery and equipment.

In Italy there are over 600 enology and bottling machinery manufacturers. In 1998 Italian exports in this segment reached 2.751 billion Liras (approximately $1.6 billion), asserting the importance and competitiveness of the Italian industry.
