Caption: Barton Beers of Chicago recently supported the Pacifico Marathon, held November 30th in Mazatlan, Mexico, location of the Pacifico Brewery. The men's event was won by Juan Camacho Pina of Guanajuato, Mexico and and the women's event by Lucia Subano of Kenya. Pictured above with Camacho Pina are Guillermo Gutierrez, Hispanic Market Product Manager, and Bill Ligas, Public Relations Director for Barton Beers. Barton is working with FOX Sports Network and FOX Sports World to produce a half-hour highlights program on the Pacifico Marathon, which will begin airing in late December 2003. The Mazatlan race attracted more than 5,000 participants and Camacho Pina won in a time of 2:14:55, a national record; and Subano led the women with 2:40:41. Both runners won a new car and Camacho Pina took home an additional $100,O00 for setting a new Mexican record.
