Modern Brewery Age, March 21, 2005
Binding Brauerei USA, makers of Clausthaler Non-Alcoholic Beer, has launched its second annual "Stay on Course" Sweepstakes, in which over 120 prizes will be given away, including a golf vacation for two to the luxury Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Amelia Island, FL. Sweepstakes entry forms will be distributed inside Clausthaler packaging through pack inserts and case cards.
"We are working to expand and tap into the consumers' awareness that brews are like wine, there are major differences in quality and taste," said David Deuser, vice president of sales for Binding. "Clausthaler, as a quality imported German NA, is made for the enjoyment of those with discriminating taste, just like the Ritz-Carlton.
"The continuation of this sweepstakes helps generate extra buzz for the brand at retail," Deuser continues, "while it reinforces how compatible Clausthaler is with the millions of beer drinkers who play golf."
According to Deuser, sweepstakes participants may win a variety of prizes besides the Grand Prize vacation, including a set of 15 Warrior Titanium golf clubs and a Clausthaler bag, a Clausthaler putter, or an imprinted Clausthaler golf towel.
BBUSA, a subsidiary of Radeberger Gruppe AG in Frankfurt, was established in June 1999, and now imports and distributes Radeberger Pilsner, Clausthaler Classic and Amber Non-Alcoholic, DAB, DAB Dark, and Henninger beers. The company also markets DAB Low Carb.
