Sapporo Light, low in carbs

The newest product from Sapporo is the new Sapporo Light, introduced earlier this year. The company says this is the first Asian low carb beer. It is described by Sapporo U.S.A. as "Low in calories, low in carbohydrates, gentle, smooth, and elegant in flavor ... the most advanced evolution of light beer ...

[exhibiting] the delicate bouquet of European Saaz hops and an exceptionally clean finish." Sapporo Light contains just under 4% alcohol by volume, 96 calories and 4.5 grams of carbohydrates. It is available in six-packs of 12oz bottles. Initial distribution started in the California and New York markets, with other markets to follow.
